Radical change isn’t easy, and for most of us, it’s impossible. But, taking baby steps towards your goal, dream or the new you, can and will transform your life. Here are four steps that you can take to start slowly but productively. They can take you from a place of darkness and no self-esteem, to accomplishing your goals and transforming your life.
Step One: Exercise
This is one of the most important steps to overall well-being. The expression’ health is wealth’ is absolutely true. You don’t need an expensive gym or a personal trainer; you just need to walk to the shops, take the stairs (not the lift), and if you work from home, put your computer downstairs and your printer upstairs.
Step Two: Write It Down
Putting pen to paper helps with productivity. Write down where you want to be in one month’s time and how you want to look. This is a technique widely used by very successful people. The art of journalling increases your chances of getting it done tenfold.
Step Three: Visualisation (or Harnessing the Law of Attraction)
Picture how you’re going to look, where you’re going to live, how much money is going to be in your bank account, what it will feel like when you’ve accomplished your dream? Put it out there. Tell the universe what you want.
Step Four: Gratitude
Be grateful for what you’ve got. Your meagre little flat is somebody else’s dream home. Somebody on the bus envies your broken-down car. In other words, be glad for what you already have because it’s important when you are aiming for things to take a step back and be appreciative of what you already have.
