Briars Hall Country House has been specifically adapted to hold all aspects of gatherings, from weddings and civil ceremonies, charity galas, and corporate events to smaller family special occasions and celebrations.

Originally an 18th-century country manor house, the Briars Hall Hotel offers olden charm with modern comfort and service. Beautifully located in 5 acres of mature gardens and woodland, it is the perfect setting for your event.

Briars Hall Hotel has gained a tremendous reputation for providing tailor-made wedding celebrations by our three Banqueting Managers with over 20 year’s experience between them.

We are incredibly proud of the spaces we can provide for your Wedding or special event. 

The beautiful Ellerbrook Suite, presented in traditional country house style, is the largest suite the hotel has to offer and overlooks the orchard lawn at the rear of the hotel. This room holds between 65 and 170 for banqueting and up to 200 buffet style. In addition, we are licensed for civil ceremonies of up to 200 people.

The Pavilion at Briars Hall offers the option of a truly unique garden wedding and is set in the hotel’s romantic private gardens, where you can take your vows with family and friends.

Our Orangery room is south facing and portrays a slightly more modern feel. The Orangery opens onto the terrace, ideal for smaller gatherings and exceptionally popular for civil ceremonies. This room holds between 20 and 60 for both banqueting and buffet-style events and licensed for civil ceremonies of up to 110 people.

At Briars Hall, we have 25 beautiful bedrooms for guests to stay in. Each room has been designed to provide a warm and relaxing environment. The newly refurbished Stones Grill and Carvery restaurant on the ground floor dates back to 1745 and has a reputation as one of the most popular local destinations for dining, whether it be mid-week or Sunday Lunch.

We are open to the public every day and offer a selection of a la carte weekly specials and seasonal dishes using locally sourced ingredients wherever possible.
