Minister Alex leads three local churches: Trinity Methodist Church in Old Skelmersdale, Upholland Methodist Church on Alma Hill, and Mawdsley Methodist Church on Gorsey Lane. “The Methodist Church is committed to inclusivity, and that’s why I love it so much,” Alex shares. The Methodist Church has a long-standing tradition of modern values, having allowed female ministers since the 1970s. This history of openness is something Alex proudly upholds in her ministry.

For those who have had negative experiences with the church, Alex offers a pathway to healing and reintegration. She encourages individuals to engage with the myriad of activities available at Trinity and Upholland Methodist Churches, which are open daily and host numerous community events throughout the week. These activities provide a welcoming environment for people to reconnect and feel safe within the church walls once again.
Understanding that stepping back into a church can be daunting, Alex takes a proactive approach by meeting people where they are. “God isn’t just in church; God is everywhere,” she explains. This philosophy guides her outreach efforts, ensuring that everyone, regardless of whether they attend church services, can experience the love and support in their community.
