My name is Adelle; mum, wife and owner of A Delux Escape. Two years ago, after turning 40, I said yes to a business opportunity and started my own online home-based Travel Business. In 2024 I was diagnosed with ADHD.

I work my business alongside my job in financial fraud and a hectic home life.  I mentor, support and grow a team of like-minded travel business owners, wanting to upgrade their lifestyle via booking and saving on travel. I do this through sharing/referring the travel platform and business opportunity. The plan is for the business to become my main source of income over the next five years.

Income was the driving force behind my decision to start my own business; I needed more! Time freedom was the next; I wanted to create options for myself and my family! While I don’t dislike my job in fraud, I hate working to someone else’s schedule, with my time off being dependant on remaining holiday allowance, availability and acceptance.  

Finally, I wanted to make myself a priority. Like many women of my age, my ADHD had gone unnoticed,  I had become very good at masking the symptoms. Faced with this diagnosis,  I am learning how to accept and manage it. My business allowed me to focus on ADHD traits in a positive manner. Restlessness, impulsiveness, creativity and over-sharing allowed me to embrace my authentic self – and resonate with other women as our paths crossed.

I love travel, as do my family! Having my own travel business allows me to earn an additional income via commissions from booking travel for friends and family, as well as booking for a growing network of clients gained via social media.  An added bonus is that I am able to earn and save on my own personal travel, meaning that as a family we are able to travel so much more.
